COVID-19 – Novel Coronavirus

We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt sympathy to anyone impacted by the COVID-19 Virus, and our gratitude to those involved with essential services supporting us during this extremely difficult time. Stay home, save lives, stay safe, be kind, stay strong. This is the message we are hearing from our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern. We will endeavour to keep you all updated as we receive news from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education. Meantime, all our students have been provided with schoolwork to do from home, in the form of packs or online learning for our middle-senior tamariki.

At this time, school will remain closed until the start of Term 2, 15th April 2020. This will be when our schools distance learning programme will begin. Kaiako will be in contact closer to this date with information about how to access this programme.

Stay home, save lives. Stay safe, be kind, stay strong.

Nga mihi mahana

Nau mai, haere mai,

Nau mai, haere mai ki te puna o Kererū Park

Welcome to Kererū Park Campus!

We are a full primary school offering bilingual education as well as Total Immersion Māori. Kererū Park Campus, formerly known as Papakura South School was established more than 60 years ago and is situated next to Kirk’s Bush, home to some of NZ’s most beautiful birds, including the Kererū.

There is a strong focus on Tikanga Māori which is reflected in our school’s core values;

Aroha, Manaakitanga, Rangatiratanga

This means we have ownership and control over our own thoughts and destinies, acknowledge the views and beliefs of others and become positive influences on society with our multi-faceted understanding of the world.

KPC does not have an enrolment zone. We welcome all enrolments regardless of where you reside. This aligns with our special character of offering Māori Immersion classes and programmes.

We have an open door policy here at KPC, with quality teaching and learning programmes. Governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees and managed by a team of leaders committed to student achievement, all tamariki have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
